Fer De Lance - One of only four caught all year, all four being found within a week on my phase of the project. Pictured is the largest of them at about 1.1m (max size 2m). A fellow volunteer and good mate of mine, Chris, found it nestling in vines a metre above the ground while out on a trail. It was in slough, as you can see from the eyes. It had an aggressive disposition, huffing and puffing on occasion, but still didn't strike once.
